Biography
Meghan helps clients navigate family law matters with practical advice and effective communication. She values the opportunity to guide her clients through important transitions in their lives, focusing on keeping her clients informed, prepared, and supported at every stage of a case.
Meghan graduated from the Georgia State University College of Law, where she served on the executive boards for the Moot Court Competition Team and Family Law Society. Her law school achievments included a Best Overall Advocate finish in her school's intrastate moot court competition, Second Best Overall Brief at the Albany School of Law National Family Law Moot Court Competition, and a CALI Award in Georgia Appellate Practice & Procedure.
Meghan is the Special Assistant Attorney General (SAAG) for the Murray County Department of Family and Children’s Service. Meghan is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Treasurer of the Conasauga Bar Association. She is also certified as a Registered Neutral through the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution for general civil mediation.
Born and raised in Dalton, Meghan is proud to serve the community she calls home. Her commitment to supporting families extends beyond her legal practice, as she is actively engaged with several local organizations dedicated to strengthening and supporting families. Meghan serves on the executive board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Northwest Georgia Mountains and on the steering committee of the Young Leaders Society of United Way. She also volunteers at the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia.
When she is not working or volunteering, Meghan enjoys an active life with her family, her husband, Darryn, and their two rescue dogs. She enjoys music, long walks, trying new foods, and spending time with the people she loves.
